Fun Things to Do on Long Island This August: A Women's Guide

August has a way of asking you to slow down and show up at the same time. The season is starting to turn, the evenings still hold onto the warmth, and there is a version of you that wants to spend what is left of summer somewhere good, with good company.

The Month So Far

We started August the way it should be started, outside and together.

Boardwalk Beach Walk | Saturday, August 1

We opened the month with a morning walk along the boardwalk, ocean on one side and easy conversation on the other. It set the tone for everything that followed.

Day at Fire Island | Sunday, August 2

The next day we took the ferry over for a full day on Fire Island. Sand, sun, a long lunch, and the kind of unhurried hours that make a Sunday feel like a small vacation.

Sunset Sips at Allegria | Friday, August 7

Rooftop views, cocktails in hand, and the sun going down over the water at Allegria. A room full of women who arrived as acquaintances and left making plans.

Coffee House Conversations | Sunday, August 9

A slower Sunday over good coffee, where the conversation went deeper than anyone expected. Some of our favorite connections start at a small table.

Beachfront Dinner | Thursday, August 13

Picture this: your toes are practically in the sand, the sky is doing that pink and orange thing over the water, and you are at a table full of women who already feel like old friends by the second course. That is Beachfront Dinner at Key West Islip Beach. Some of the best friendships begin across a dinner table, and this one has the setting to prove it. If you want to see what a Societelle evening feels like, this is a lovely place to start.

Cocktails & Conversation | Wednesday, August 19

Midway through the month, we are taking over Limani Grille for an evening of cocktails, and connection. Good conversation, a beautiful setting, and a chance to unwind with women who get it. Details and RSVP are here.

Sunset Social at Ocean in Bayville | Friday, August 21

A few days later, we head to Ocean in Bayville for one of summer's most scenic evenings. Beachfront views, coastal breezes, and a table full of new friends, this is the kind of night that reminds you why you love this season. See the full details.

Trail Talks and Nature Walks | Saturday, August 22

Some of the best conversations happen while you are moving. The next morning, we are gathering at Bethpage State Park for a refreshing community walk, where beautiful trails, fresh air, and easy conversation come together for something peaceful and energizing. Reserve your spot here.

Craft & Connect | Tuesday, August 25

Trade screen time for stitch time. Later in the month, we are hosting a cozy evening of creativity and connection, making our own chunky knit blankets by hand while the conversation runs longer than planned. Get the details.

Pretty Woman's VIP Polo Match | Sunday, August 30

August closes out at Bethpage Polo at the Park with an afternoon of polo, wide brimmed hats, cocktails, and the iconic halftime divot stomp. Pretty Woman, but make it Societelle, shared with women who just might become your people. Reserve your spot.
